While what bhomburg says is correct, it is only correct if you fly 18K miles (you'll need to fly at least 16,667 miles @ 1.5 EQP per mile, in order to make the 25K EQP for Gold status)

Does AA or a OW partner fly nonstop from SFO-BUE?
Of course, via DFW or MIA, it is still under 7K miles one way
