Not sure, but since different people have experienced different results, both positive and negative, with the www. and without it, I suspect it might be a browser-related issue, too, as well as with the app itself.

I used to really like using Tripit, but their behavior regarding this problem is making me a bit annoyed. Tripit should have broadcasted this problem on their website (and possibly e-mail us) so that I did not have to waste my time trying to fix this.
I agree that TripIt's customer service has been less than prompt and not particularly responsive at that. It would seem that they could immediately revise their help page to include the "remove www." trick as an option for all customers, yet they have yet to do so. I also find that it takes 4-5 days on average for TripIt to respond to customer service complaints--even as a TripIt Pro customer.

Hopefully, TripIt will improve. I still love TripIt, and there still is no other app that quite gets the job done like TripIt IMO.
