Miles & Smiles Question Marks

I received my monthly statement which noted that I have "Elite" status with TK. I status matched to Elite + two years ago, so when did the downgrade happen? Will it stay Elite for another year?

I tried logging-in to find out, but upon typing in the membership number, the account was mysteriously pending. Even typing in the pin invited this message: Pin Problems. Our mailing has been bounced back to Management due to wrong...address information." Three calls to the 24-hour North America hotline resolved nothing, and even suggested that I email miles&[email protected] to "quickly renew my status." Not that anyone was rude, they just seemed rather unsure of where they work.

Though, this underwhelming aspect of TK was not unexpected. Whenever I tried buying certain one-way tickets from the EU to somewhere, a message saying something to the effect of "Turkish citizens cannot buy this ticket" popped up.

How have your recent interactions with TK phone reps/the website been?
