WAW is a pretty easy airport to make a connection. Worst case is you get a bus gate, but LO from YYZ has always landed (for me) at one of the gates way down at the end. You go upstairs, couple hundred m walk down to passport control, and then there's a dedicated security lane off to your left for going back into the terminal. Schengen departures could be bus gate or airbridge, but honestly the terminal isn't that big, isn't that crowded, and pretty smooth sailing. The last time I did it we were through customs and security in less than half an hour easy, and that was with a 2-year-old.
