And I'm sure it's relatively peaceful now but these things can escalate, even in Hong Kong. I got tear gassed walking out of the top luxury hotel in central Athens a couple years ago, not that we should compare the two protests! But I agree with the person who posted the query that you do not want to repeat that experience.
