Just spotted that our flight from Bankok to Doha in Y on the 29th January has changed from 777 to 380. QR833 departing 20:45. We had booked the flight early to grab the 2 seaters on row 24 of the 777 following a previous bad expierence in a 3 seater. The only seats being offered now following the change are on the main deck which is 3 4 3 although Expert Flyer was showing some seats already booked but still availability on the upper deck in the 2 3 2 section rows 25 to 31. Telephoned customer services and they said they were all blocked off and would only offer the lower deck and said the upper deck seats could only be allocated at Bangkok on check in, but they would put a note on our booking!! I find this odd particularly as Expert Flyer show some seat seats booked and others unblocked and with availability. Incidently I did offer to pay extra if necessary, but was told that would only be possible if I paid for an extra spare seat on a 3 seater on the lower deck.

Very annoying but particular as I booked early, paid top dollar to grab the 2 seaters. How accurate is Expert Flyer or am I being led up the path by Qatar customer services.
