Doesn't TSA typically initial your BP? Does it raise any flags to clear security twice? Having never cleared international at MSP, I don't know if rechecking luggage for domestic is an option, but that's what I would do.
It's not uncommon for smokers to clear security more than once, especially if flights are delayed after the first passage through a TSA checkpoint
