It doesn't mean Airbus was negligent.
The tails of any airplane can snap off. I would want to know, is the design that Airbus used particularly suspect to snapping off, more so than other airplanes, and is it such a hazard?
After all, all airplanes have their strong and weak points. That doesn't mean all airplane makers are negligent or make a bad product. I think the major manufacturers make amazingly good products.
I don't think anyone should jump to conclusions on this one. How many tails have snapped off? Did Airbus warn customers of this possibility?
