I'm not going to repeat what others have said about the aircraft, but not sure what the comment above has to do with anything. Flights are canceled for various reasons - on UA, and, while this may come as a shocker to some, on other carriers as well. I can assure you a flight getting canceled on the same route a week ago has no bearing on the status of your flight on a different day.
