When the missus and I were finally getting hitched and moving out I arranged for a short lease at Kornhill Apartments because our new place wasn't antipated to be vacated on wedding day. I was allowed to use whatever V/M/CUP I liked.
As for long term lease with card, assuming a landlord has 2.5% interchange which landlord will pass on for accepting your card, and your normal earn rate is $6/mile (DBS black), then you need a $0.15 valuation per Asia Mile or better to make payment by credit card with 2.5% pass-on fee better than simply handing over a rent cheque. Due to this disparity not that many landlords have card terminals.
