Upon landing, follow the signs to flight transfers where you'll clear security but NOT immigration and go up to the departures level. Your bags should be checked through and you should have all boarding passes. There's an old anecdote here about someone not receiving the BP for AU-NZ flight on the way out, and for AU-UK flights on the way back which required a visit to the transit desk, so that could happen too but in theory shouldn't.

Either way there is no baggage claim for international transits, bags will be checked through for sure.

BTW You could easily apply for an eVisitor visa online which is free should you wish to go land side and spend some time.
