My guess, and it's just a guess, is this is more part of the transfer of all Chase MCs to Visa. A little OT, but I'm really PO'd at Chase about this since my (non-UA) MC just got transferred to a Visa with a new #, but I was told to keep using my MC physical card until the new one arrives. It's my only MC so now need to find a new one.

My guess is your card will be transferred to Visa as well at some point and will be able to be used for Apple Pay at that point. As part of the transfer, in guessing Chase decided it wasn't worth it to enable the MCs since they will all be gone soon. Also think this thread will be better for the CC forum somewhere, as there may be others with Chase MCs that will be having the same issue. Also guess I will have this problem if I still have the physical MC when I get an iPhone 6.
