Dear Arjunrc,
Thanks again for the review and constructive observations.
The team here at GATE8 HQ love the feedback and even made me take my shoes off in the office to take the video we have posted below look closely, you can see I am wearing slippers and my shoes are in the bag!!
This response is certainly NOT intended as a defensive challenge to your feedback, but a positive addition to this thread, offering an alternative packing strategy to enable the user to enjoy a bag packed full of features and benefits. We know there are improvements to be made and you have certainly added some to our list and helped us prioritize - we have taken on board ALL your points with thanks!
It is also worth highlighting, this bag was designed more to tackle the Short Haul Leisure break consumer. With the less formal zipoff Ruck-Sack replacing the Full Service Laptop bag on the Tri-Fold and hence is designed to take a smaller laptop/iPAD/Netbook etc which will help with the stability. That said, in the video link, I have tested this bag with a BRICK of a laptop tap weighing in at over 2Kg!
What did I pack:
1 x suit (jacket 40 pants 34) + Dress (my wife will kill me if I disclose size) + shoes (Size 8 UK) + shirt carrier (2 x shirts) + undergarments (mine not my wifes!) + Laptop 2Kg + Power Cables

Points (a) and (b)
To pack the Jacket please fold arms down the body of the jacket see photo this will not add any creases (in my experience).

The jacket will need a return fold at the end this will not add any creases (in my experience).

The dress and pants fold no problem.

c) Just does not stand straight with equipment that any power user will need
See video when packed with the heavier items at the bottom of the MAIN bag (not the laptop bag) then the stability is useable i.e. it does not topple over.

d) I'd recommend adding some sort of straps to the upper half as well so I don't need to use a shirt bag (it eats up space)
Good point!
e) I'd recommend adding a handle to the side of the laptop bag as well. Right now, You only have a handle at the top of the bag which is fine when attached to the main bag, but when you take it off, you will be carrying the laptop bag with the long side vertical which looks a little odd.
Good point!
Many thanks again for your feedback and review.
Best wishes Alistair (GATE8)
