I think it speaks to the entitlement culture amongst a large number of middle class Brits these days - I want all of the benefits of a product (in this case a unified booking) without actually paying for it, and I expect the rules to be bent in my favour when it goes wrong otherwise I will inconvenience everyone else who plays by them.
