Most you can do is 50,000 miles which costs 112,000 points. You would get an additional 12,500. Of course you could do it twice and spend 224,000 points to get 100,000 + 25,000 miles on UA.

I'm not sure how Marriott providing a hotel certificate under their program invalidates the fact that you are converting a portion of your points to UA miles. Also, there is nothing in the T&C excluding travel packages.
I've done transfers both ways - miles only, and miles as part of a rewards package. They post to your MileagePlus account with the exact same description.
