answering my own question
arrived late for a one night stay, and of course got given an upgrade to a nice suite - I think that the 7th floor is all suites (only 16 rooms vs 33 on the other floors). Small lounge but with decent nibbles and wine/beer/spirits
very good generally for 'proper' Africa.. wish that there were hotels like this in some other capitals!
