There are NO Schiphol hotels worthy of the occasion. If the flight time in the morning really is the driving factor, I would pick a room at the closest hotel - the Sheraton. But its not great and the food choices are poor. You really need to go into Amsterdam.

You could book a night in the Sofitel Grand in AMS - overlooking a canal for added romance? More restaurant choice too. If money is "no object" suggest you just arrange for an early morning taxi or limo transfer to get you to Schiphol in time for your flight.

Forget about "maximising your sleeping time" as your schedule doesn't really allow for that - plus you'll get a chance to sleep on the flight to Miami.
