Sounds about right. My mom always gets revved up before arriving to the airport and until she passes through security. Then she calms down. At that point it doesn't bother her very much if the flight is late.
Wish my GF was like that - she always finds several last minute things to do (all unimportant) so the result is that we leave for the airport the best part of an hour late.
