How do I go about this? I have spent along time on the phone to Turkish Airlines Smiles and Miles team and they tell me I have to speak to Star Alliance however, I have both spoken to them and know that to be incorrect.

Has anybody got any ideas? Another phone line to call maybe?

Depends where you are. Are you near a TK ticket office? If so, I'd recommend doing it there. It seems from previous post that TK on the phone are less than efficient when it comes to booking Star Alliance awards.
