I've never had to deal with a medical emergency, but I've had a few situations where Global Assist has come into play, such as a lost wallet and a lost Driver's License in a situation where I needed to rent a car. In both cases, they were incredibly helpful and very intelligent. It is the opposite experience of using their concierge service, which is often incredibly frustrating.
