You'll have trouble boarding planes to get there if you don't have an exit ticket. Particularly to Bangkok. Immigration isn't usually an issue, but the airline won't let you board in Denver.

If you cross borders by land you might get closer scrutiny.

Buy changeable tickets between these countries.
