A depressing look at the future of economy class travel

So I bumped into an article about the first Qatar A350 flying, and in it is this picture:



Which, if that is indeed the 350 interior, suggests that they are going 3-4-3. I did some more digging and found this



which is an Airbus slide suggesting that 3-4-3 is indeed an option, which we all know BA are going to go for having gone for the horribly uncomfortable 3-3-3 in the 787.

The worst thing is, that uncomfortable as the 787 is, the 350 is going to be even worse as the cabin is only 21 cm wider at the armrest. Looks like I'm in for a treat when the 350s start being delivered, personal space, who needs it.
