My Avios booking in F on BA 163 to TLV was cancelled due to no F - best options?
I just saw that this flight was cancelled on MMB. The flight is not until June 2015, but I was pleased when I booked it that the family and I would be able to use the CCR and experience F again. YouFirst advised that the cancellation was due to the 772 being downgraded to 3 class from 4 class, and offered to either book me in CW or cancel and redeposit. This is an Avios booking using a 241 certificate, originating from YVR.
To the amazing FlyerTalk experts, I ask:
1) Can I leverage this situation to have them open up F award availability on the YVR-LHR flight? BA has 2x service in the summer, with the regular BA 84 (no F) but BA 86 does show F, so I take it is a NF bird. Would love to get rebooked in F on the BA86, but as I have learned from this site and personal experience, 3 seats together in CW is tough enough, let alone F. We are currently in CW on our existing YVR/LHR flights.
2) I was stoked to experience the CCR in T5, especially given our long layover, in both directions (we were in F to and from TLV). Thoughts on requesting a CCR pass for us, under the circumstances?
Any thoughts, suggestions and general comments are appreciated!
