Quite sure. Much more so than the free-associating you appear to have done.

No "terrorists" have been discovered by TSA. Most things discovered are either not credible threats - mistakenly classified as such by no-talent buffoons "in charge" of TSA or items inadvertently carried by people. The few things dangerous brought airside on purpose were not brought airside with the intent to hijack.

Probable cause: fail WTMD, ETP/ETD, or X-ray detection of credible dangerous item.

Hijackings are extremely rare and will continue to be so due to cockpit doors being secured and passengers/employees not cooperating with criminals. It is not due to TSA harassment of passengers.
