I didn't see any seating change for the 772 from LAX-AKL AKL-LAX. I intentionally avoided the 772 and chose the 773 for PE next March. I'll be slightly disappointed if they switch equipment or upgrade the seating on that flight. I think I would have liked to try the new seating.
