There are over 40 paid attendees (by a handfull). Obviously the group can not be larger than 40.
I will have to make a determination on the attendee list tomorrow by mid day. So therefore payment deadline will be 11AM central time, Friday Oct 17.
Those of you who know me &/or have been to my Do's know I have a "more the merrier" attitude, this time the restaurant's size became a factor I didn't see coming into play as much as it did.
Two schools of thought when planning a Do that requires pre-payment.
1) accept those who pay first
2) accept those who confirm first to the thread & pay up by a deadline
Reason for #1 is there are PLENTY of people who say they are interested but when it comes time to actually pay, they don't reply.
Reason for #2 is that there are plenty of people who can plan, mark their calendar and try to not let a plan be a last minute knee jerk response, seeing as planning a Do can be like herding cats, I very much value this.
Both have their merits as far as I'm concerned. Of course anyone that isn't attending and has paid will promptly (by tomorrow Friday) get their $ returned and PM notifying them of such.
