I am not sure if the $400 million charge just covers the first four or the whole 747 fleet as it sounds like four more will be retired next year and the rest within two years after that. Sounds like an accelerated march to get the big birds out of the fleet. Sad from a flyers perspective but maybe great for Delta's bottom line.
