Does Eurlings merely antagonise people on a personal level (given his political background, or the frequent accusations aired here that the job was merely as a pay-off for alleged past favours), or is there evidence of incompetence, mismanagement, or worse? (Given the talk of "firing" above).

Hartman was not popular in these parts, either, and maybe he had a somewhat higher profile (or maybe it's just that I never see Holland Herald anymore, a magazine that had Hartman stamped all over it back when I used to travel, and which I don't know if Eurlings bothers to do) but I really don't know what Eurlings has been doing, or that KLM has changed much under his "leadership".

So...why the hate for Eurlings?
