15k and 17k should be very similar in that they are against the windows instead of against the aisles-not sure why you think 15k is necessarily better, as 15k is closer to the galley.
For changing seat assignments you'll have to call UA to get your Asiana record number and then you can change seats either through calling or Asiana's website
