When booking, I selected seats 25A and 25B in economy. Two weeks later, I happened to look at my receipt and noticed two extra charges for economy plus tickets: $123 and $129.

I called customer service, and the operator at first assumed 25A and 25B were economy plus - but after she checked she confirmed that they are indeed economy. She thought maybe there was a plane change, but I distinctly remember selecting "white" economy seats at booking (because that's how I roll). She agreed to refund the charges.

It's EWR->PEK, UA89. From seatguru, there's 5 other versions of 777, and it looks like 25A/B are EconomyPlus in all of them.

Anyone else heard of something like this before?
