I've been out of the high elite game for a while ever since UA kicked me out.. Years ago I was top tier with DL, and now just a silver.. After a trip this week I'll be about 17,000 mqm away from Gold (I don't have to worry about mqd's) I know this question is asked a lot, but is it worth about $800 in travel for Gold?! I can knock down two Saudi MXP-JED-JNB trips next month, and get Gold, and rack up 23,000 miles plus silver bonuses.. Or even just one and a trip to the US on DL... So with the new 2015 program, and about 140,000 in the bank at the moment is it worth the money or should I be happy with Silver? I've been lucky with the upgrades stateside on last minute tickets, and pay for F/J when I want it..
