Also on the DL-out-of-ATL bit: DL is often not the cheapest on my routes, but I'll be darned if they aren't the most convenient 95% of the time because they have a nonstop and/or multiple flights a day to pick from. Often well worth a $50 premium over an AA/US/UA/WN alternative and they know it. If DL wasn't my primary to begin with, then of course the Amex Plat would lose a ton of value for me. But, it would retain that value for everyone else still flying DL.
