Mainly because the "silk" or "cashmere" blend they use is just fluff and usually means synthetics.
The only way to be 100% sure you are getting atleast reasonable material in Asia is to insist on 100% pure wool. Or provide your own. This is what I do nowadays, since imported fabrics in Korea are insanely expensive.
