Yesterday at a WMT supercenter, I used my BofA card and totally forgot about the chip feature after haven't used it for over a month when I left it at home when we went on a long trip. I just swiped the card and the screen IMMEDIATELY displayed APPROVE.

I then realized that I should have stuck the card in the slot at the bottom... Swiping did not work at WMT till the time we left for our trip in early Sept.
Now a swipe immediately finished the transaction... Is this a change because so many failures experienced at the POS with the card?
