I handed the GA both of our BP's and she scanned mine first and it was fine..and then she scanned my colleague's and the scanner made an angry beep, flashed a red light and the green digital display on the scanner displayed a message that someone in G5 was attempting to board in G1.
Not only that but the GA's computer display screen also had a big red warning window pop up. I said to the GA that we were together and it was no problem, but it took her a few seconds to type in some kind of override on her terminal so that the G5 boarding pass would scan properly.
I've never seen this before ever and I've boarded with companions in lower boarding groups several times in the past. ....
been happen since roughly the beginning of month and IME traveling companions are honored with no problem (and that seems to be the experience of others reported upthread)
