If you were in Y, it is most definitely not normal and I am quite surprised that you were allowed to use the fast-track security line and enter the lounge. IME there is little room for "human error" in both cases because the agents just scan the BP and act according to the subsequent beep tone.

Perhaps there was some misunderstanding at check-in and you ended up in their system as TP Silver instead of M&M FTL? Can you tell us what exactly is written in your BP if you still have it?
