No indeed, as far as I have experienced it still seems the same - the three tiny finger sandwiches have been around for a while now. On the other hand, we have now had a few reports of scone-less tea and that sounds stranger to me.

On the substance, I'm afraid I fully agree with greg5 on the quality of the sandwiches. The bread is invariably both dry and leathery (a strange combination), and the fillings are either microscopic or essentially made of mayonnaise with whatever it is it can overpower. To me, they are a failure every time.

I just do not understand why it would be so hard for BA to generalise the offer of a small salad as an alternative to the sandwiches, as they do on longer US flights (or for that matter on CWLCY) I frankly can't imagine this representing a major additional cost and I know several of us who much prefer it every time.
