Is this your only local WM? Because I'm pretty sure this isn't national policy for WM, at least not yet.
You might even try a different shift. I have a Safeway where it's cash only for RLs, per "the manager". But a different shift, with a different manager, hasn't heard a word about it, and is happy to sell them to me with a cc.
