TBH I did not check on this seat, however the in-armrest plug is old-style 2 pin.
On the 789 (in BP), the screen socket is for a standard 3.5mm, despite the in-armrest plug also being a 2 pin.
As the setup is the same, with the same system, I think it's a good bet that you could use a single 3.5mm in the screen socket.
I wonder if the 2-pin at hip level is a durability call, due to widening hips putting pressure on the pins/plugs/sockets.
