I agree with others here. I've noticed that there have been a lot fewer promotions for points. And it doesn't appear as if IHG will be very generous about extending platinum benefits for 2015. I split my travel this year between Holiday Inns and Hampton Inns (HHonors) because I was upset about how stingy IHG had gotten. Only to find out HH was just as stingy. Even so, I will still make platinum IHG for 2015 (just barely). Not gonna make HH gold though.
