That might be an interesting work around, but it rings a couple of questions:
- does one need a credit file in the US to obtain a US card?
- does one need a US bank account to obtain a US card?
- would it work with a forwarding address/PO Box in case no trusted contact in the US is available?
Every credit card application that I've seen in the US requires a US social security number. If you don't have one I am not sure how you could apply for a card.
