Is there at least one AA operated / numbered flight in the itinerary? If it is an all-partner itinerary, even if issued on 001- AA ticket stock, it will not appear automatically on the list.

You can still find it by entering the PNR as you state, but it continually drops off the list. Odd. You would think they would keep the tickets that they themselves have issues handy for the customers....
