I assume these 20 extra minutes might be an issue (however its said they stamp the passport just 72hrs/3 days without exact counting?)

Secondly,my return to Europe also routes me via PEK (coming from SIN).

All flights are on Air China, and i need to know if a visa free stay (72hrs) is possible,or if i shouldnt take the risk and apply for a regular visa?
EUR- PEK - HKG. 20 minutes over the limit IS an issue. You likely won't be allowed to board in EUR. As moondog says, change your PEK-HKG segment to an earlier departure. 72 hours means just that. Not 72 hours and 1 minute.

SIN-PEK-EUR. If no other stops inside mainland China, that's good for up to 72 hours in Beijing also, visa-free. Note that our comments assume that you have an EU passport (or one of the others allowed extended 72 hours and not the standard 24).
