Azurro, I get your point, but the thing is that "codeshare" has a very specific meaning. It's when one airline markets a flight that's operated by a different airline under its own flight number. This matters, because if you could only book UA-operated codeshares through AP, that would result in a massive reduction in the number of UA flights available for award redemption.
Given that Amex has different rules in Canada, does the M+Visa also have different rules? If not, that seems the most logical.
The reason this thread exists is that for the most part, the credit cards which are available to US residents are
not available to Canadians. Including the various Chase cards.
