Delta International In-cabin Dog
We last flew with our King Charles Spaniel to Costa Rica 2 years ago. The case we have is oversized, but it flexible and conforms to the space its given when put under the seat (we've had a few flight attendants question it, and then assure them that it fits). We've flown our dog to a few other places with Delta, as well.
The policy states that they have to be able to stand without touching any side of the kennel. That pretty much precludes just about all dogs except the tiny 'kick me' dogs that are a couple of pounds.
Has anyone here ever been refused boarding for a dog the size of a Cavalier (she is 15 pounds)? I always get nervous carrying her, but my wife is super attached, and leaving her for 2 weeks with someone else just won't fly (pardon the pun).
We are likely going to be booking first class this time around.
