All airlines calculate refund for partial used tickets as:

Refund = Fare Paid - Fare for Segment Flown (If Purchased That Way) - Change Fee

You will receive half the fare paid if you round trip ticket is double the price of one way which is the case for full fare tickets. For discount round trip tickets, it is often cheaper to fly round trip than one way and refund value is actually negative.
