I do not recognise your description.

The rear entrance is nowhere near any lifts. You have to go through the whole of hotel ie the back lobby, through the whole length of lounge and the front lobby to the lifts at the front of the hotel and then take the lift to the second floor and then walk all the way back through the hotel back towards the rear of the hotel where you started to get to the club lounge. The Club Lounge is above the Bugis entrance. the lifts are at the front entrance. I am perplexed at your post.

The way that most people who know the hotel would go to the lounge from the Bugis entrance is up a few stairs adjacent to the Bugis entrance.

With respect to the "avoid at all costs" comment - different people have different preferences. The suites will be noisy from the mall during the day when most are out, but very quiet at night when the mall is closed.
