I've got an upcoming mid-con and am currently booked in an exit row, but I'd like to standby for an earlier flight. However, if there aren't any MCE window/aisle seats left on the earlier flight, I would probably want to stick with the original flight and work/stay comfortable in the AC instead. Has anyone either been put on the standby list or cleared standby for an earlier flight, then successfully asked to get back on the original flight with the original seat assignment?
