As a Silver the last few years (and Gold before that for many years) I just don't see the real perk of flying in F domestically. Row 22 suits me just fine.
Here is my reasoning. I want minimum status so I can use the elite lanes for checkin and security.
The main benefit of higher elite status (beyond minimum) is that you get free upgrades to domestic F which aren't worth too much.
All the other benefits for higher elite status:
i) Early E+
ii) Lounge access on international transit
etc.
I can buy with the money I save by flying the lowest cost option amongst the carriers I have minimum status with.
