I'm sure others will be along soon with other ideas, but have you considered the following?

LGW-JER//JER-LGW-AMS-LGW-JER//JER-LGW = 240 Points

These can be booked as HBO fares and then upgraded with POUG if offered. However, you now have to wait 48 hours to see if a POUG will be offered, which is beyond the cool-off period (24 hours).
